In this workshop, choreographer and performer ErGao and visually impaired artist Wang Ze Yu collaborate to help participants gain hands-on insight into the daily lives of visually impaired individuals. Using the gestures of massage and dance, participants are encouraged to connect, interact and explore through touch and feeling.

Listening to live and pre-recorded classical pieces, participants dive into the energy and pace of various works, discussing how music makes them feel and move, and connecting sounds and sensations through natural themes.

In this workshop, Ruth Montgomery encourages participants to connect emotionally and intellectually with music. Exploring how visual information translates into movement and feeling, participants examine the structure of musical pieces, and how rhythm, melody and harmony create a cohesive whole. Working together, they generate visual representations of the music they hear, and use these as a basis for exploration and expression.
